Stefan Nickodem started his career in the pool industry as a gate attendant, and formed Clearwater in his college days. 43 years later, he is an authority in virtually every aspect of commercial pool service, repair and renovation. He is arguably the foremost expert in the area.
Stefan’s years of experience have provided a wealth of knowledge to correct even the most difficult problems that arise. Each club that he is involved with enjoys tremendous cost savings due to his knowledge on how to run a club efficiently. Stefan is very knowledgeable of water balance and to those who have given up on having sparkling water, he is your answer! He is among the pioneers of the chemical control systems, and experienced with all models.

Stefan is a member of a small elite group certified to teach Instructor courses in Lifeguarding. CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety. He is also a Certified Pool Operator Instructor. Stefan developed an extremely popular state-of-the-art swim lesson program which has been licensed to several clubs in the Triangle and 60 clubs in Virginia. He is a former High School swim and dive team coach that achieved a national top 5 ranking.
Kate Nickodem
Kate began with Clearwater in 1985 and was an integral part of the management and development of Clearwater.
In 2002, she diversified into commercial and residential design and build. Later, Kate became a partner in a North Carolina company, Aquatic Creations, Inc. (www.aquaticcreationsnc.com), where she obtained her General Contractors License.
As a General Contractor, she built and renovated residential pools, and renovated and serviced commercial pools.
